Mr. Iftekhar Alam is a passionate investment banker with more than 12 years experience in Bangladesh
Capital Market. He has a strong track record in managing public issues, transaction advisory, and
portfolio management. He started his career in 2011 with Zenith Investments Limited as a Research
Analyst and later joined in LankaBangla Investments Limited as Management Trainee Officer in the same
year. His vast expertise includes the arrangement of Private Equity, managing IPOs and Rights Offering,
Transaction Advisory, Deal Negotiation and Closure, Corporate Restructuring, Financial Modeling and
Valuation, Proprietary & Client Portfolio Management, and Strategic Planning.
His business acumen,
diversified work experience, in-depth knowledge of the industry, and excellent rapport with the
Regulators, Clients, and Market Intermediaries led LankaBangla Investments Limited to escalate its
growth in the industry. Mr. Alam played a significant role in the public issue amendment process and
listing securities in the Main Board & Alternative Trading Board of the exchanges. He completed his BBA
& MBA from the University of Dhaka, majoring in Finance. He is also a Resource Person in Dhaka Stock
Exchange Limited, Financial Excellence Limited, and Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market and
conducted several training sessions.
Mr Imtiaz Alam Choudhury is serving LankaBangla Investments Limited, a leading Merchant Bank in Bangladesh, as Head of Discretionary Portfolio. He joined the team on 1 January 2018 as AVP. Before joining LBIL, Mr Imtiaz Alam Choudhury served Grameenphone as Senior Specialist, Business Intelligence. Prior to that he worked at ACNielsen. He has more than 15 years of experience in Research and Analysis. His vast expertise in Research and Analysis will help LankaBangla Investments going forward together with other departments. He completed both his BBA and MBA from IBA, DU. His hobby is reading books – mainly business related – and playing football.
Mr. Kazi Mansur Al Mannan is serving LankaBangla Investments Limited a leading Merchant Bank in Bangladesh as the Head of Portfolio Operations. He obtained his Master Degree in Accounting from National University. He joined LankaBangla Investments Limited (former LankaBangla Finance Limited-Merchant Banking Division) in 2007 as Principal Officer and his responsibility was Portfolio Operations and Issue management services. As issue manager, Mr. Mansur successfully managed the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Rupali Life Insurance Company Limited, which was the first IPO issue of LankaBangla and also managed the Rights Offering and Underwriting of International Leasing and Financial Services Limited. Since 2010, Mr. Mansur concentrate in the portfolio management services and became the Head of Portfolio Operations in 2011. During this period, he managed 3,700 portfolio clients having a portfolio value of Tk. 800 crore. Before joining LankaBangla, Mr. Mansur served in Capital Market Services Limited (Merchant Bank) for 3 years as issue manager and portfolio manager. He has more than 13 years of experience in Capital Market. His vast expertise in capital market helped LankaBangla Investments going forward together with other departments.
Mr. Momin joined LankaBangla Investments Limited (LBIL) in March 2019. He is well convergent with the financial ecosystem of Bangladesh. He started his career at BRAC EPL Investments Limited and worked in Impact Investments Departments for a year. Later on, he joined Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB), one of the leading private commercial Banks of Bangladesh, as Management Trainee Officer (MTO). After successful completion of Trainee period, he got the opportunity to work at Credit Department and maintained & developed a commendable portfolio consisting mainly of reputed corporate houses of our country. He got a good exposure to different industry namely RMG, Textile, Engineering, NBFI, Pharmaceuticals etc. He is skilled in Credit Analysis, Risk Management, Project Financing, Refinancing Schemes, Working Capital Financing, Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Due Diligence Process, litigation processes under Money Court Act etc. At LBIL, Mr. Momin played an instrumental role in arrangement business and arranged fund in the form of Preference Share and Corporate Bond for different clients. He also remained engaged in different advisory businesses and started to lead the team from 2021. Mr. Momin is an Ex- Cadet and completed his secondary level education from Rajshahi Cadet College. He passed B. Sc from University of Dhaka. Mr. Momin completed his MBA from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka major in Finance. He is a CFA pursuant and completed his Level II exam back in 2018. He is actively involved in the social welfare and a member of Cadet College Club Limited (CCCL) and ORCA (Old Rajshahi Cadets Association). He is passionate about traveling and sports.
Md. Khaled Hassan has diversified experience of dealing with Equity Financing, Investment Analysis, Financial Modeling, Corporate Advisory, Corporate Governance Structuring, Financial Consultancy, Corporate Restructuring, Merger & Acquisition and many more. He started his career in Finance and Control at Nestle Bangladesh in 2013 as an Accounts Officer in Treasury department where he gathered expertise on fund management, financial reporting, planning & budgeting and operational accounting. Afterwards, he joined LankaBangla Investments Limited (LBIL), a leading investment bank in Bangladesh, in 2014 and currently working there as Senior Associate and leading the Primary Market Services Team. He gained expertise in Information Technology, Service, Engineering, Fuel & Power, Textile and Financial sectors throughout my career. He has successfully completed a number of projects and mobilized fund worth BDT 14,519.32 Million (as on May 5, 2021). The IPO of aamra networks limited under the reformed Book-building method, IPO of Energypac Power Generation Limited (Book-building), IPO of Baraka Patenga Power Limited (Book-building), Rights Offering of Summit Alliance Port Ltd and GPH Ispat Limited are some of his notable projects. Khaled completed his BBA in Accounting and Information Systems and MBA in Management Accounting from Faculty of Business Studies (FBS), University of Dhaka.
Mr. Hoque joined LBIL in 2018 and has been invloved with advisory, M&A transactions, corporate restructuring, private equity arrangement and inward & outward FDI investment transactions across both buy-side and sell-side verticles and for both local and foreign clients. Prior joining LBIL, he worked in the investment team at SEAF Bangladesh Ventures – a global investment firm focusing on SMEs in Bangladesh. Mr. Hoque holds a bachelor’s in Business Administration from University of Dhaka, Department of Finance. He is also a CFA candidate and have passed CFA Level – 1.
Mr. Tanvir Saleh joined LBIL in 2012 in the Business Development Department where he was part of the introductory operational team of the discretionary portfolio management offerings. From there on he served the Primary Market Services team of LBIL for a brief while before moving onto the Investment Banking Services Team in 2014. Since then he has been part of some of the landmark services that has been offered by the IBS team. He has managed and arranged the issue of the first Zero Coupon introduced by a brokerage house in the country while mobilizing BDT 720 million for the issue. He has also been associated with the fund mobilization for a number of preference shares and equity shares in the form of private placement offered by some of the leading power generation companies of the country. In the past few years, he has been associated with the arrangement of a number of debt and quasi-debt instruments namely Syndicated Loans, Commercial Papers, Bonds, and Preference Shares for some of the large corporate bodies in the country. He has experience in Issue Management and Arrangement, Subscription, Fund Mobilization, Product Design, Compliance Maintenance and Business Development. Moreover, he has advised and assisted a number of clients in transactions raising capital involving private equity. Mr. Saleh has completed his MBA from North South University and BBA at IBA from Jahangirnagar University with a double major in Finance and Marketing.
Estiuque Uddin joined LankaBangla Investments Limited (LBIL) as an Analyst in December 2017. He started his career in Max Infrastructure Limited, a leading heavy infrastructure development company in Bangladesh where he gathered experience in the field of Financial Reporting, Analyzing, Budgeting and Project Development Strategies. Being a running CA professional, Estiuque has gained ample knowledge on various local industries and equipped himself with professional skills in Financial Reporting and Accounting as per local & international guideline, Income Tax laws, International Accounting Standards, Company Laws and Accounting Software’s. He has experience in assisting and conducting Revenue audit, Regulatory audit and Special audit of various Manufacturing companies, Banks and NBFIs along with the technical expertise of handling Income Tax work, Service Tax work and VAT assignments of Various organizations. Estiuque has completed his BBA in Finance & Banking and MBA in Finance under Department of Finance & Banking from Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), University of Chittagong. Currently he is enrolled under ICAB and have successfully passed Knowledge level.
Kazi Tawseef Rahman joined LankaBangla Investments Limited (LBIL) as a Senior Analyst in October 2018. Prior to joining LBIL he started his career in the Corporate Finance team of KPMG Rahman Rahman Huq in 2016 and gained experience in Advisory and Deal Management services. During his time at KPMG, he had advised and provided assistance to clients in transactions raising capital involving private equity. He had provided assistance to ASA International Group PLC getting listed at the Premium Listed Main Market of London Stock Exchange. Furthermore, he worked as a consultant for United Nation Development Programme (UNDP) devising a financial management tool for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to better access capital. Tawseef is passionate about raising capital for large corporation and growth focused SMEs and attract foreign investment in our country. He is also interested to develop the field of Corporate Finance and the Advisory profession in order to build capacity to support the growing need and growth of our vibrant economy. He has completed his BA (Economic & Social Studies) Hons in Accounting & Finance from the University of Manchester and currently pursuing ACCA qualification.
Mr. Refiyat joined the LankaBangla team in December 2017 and is engaged in advisory (M&A) and structured financing services. His areas of specialization include Debt Advisory, Asset Securitization, Syndication & Fund Raising, Fixed Income Structuring. During his time at LBIL, he has served as the Lead Analyst on various projects including Mergers, Divestments, Syndicated Loans, Bond Issuances and Securitizations. Prior to LBIL, Mr. Refiyat was with City Bank Capital Resources Limited in the Structured Finance wing where he worked on fund arrangement for large corporates through various debt and quasi-debt instruments. Mr. Refiyat is keen to explore new and innovative ventures which will help expand the fixed income segment of Bangladeshi markets. He enjoys travelling and exploring new cultures and is a history enthusiast.
